Maximum adhesion has been affirmed through extensive testing which includes:

QUV (accelerated aging testing)
Cyclic humidity/cross hatching testing
Salt water boil testing

silk AR lenses are up to 3 times more abrasion resisitant than traditional AR. Tests are performed by oscillating sand back and forth over the AR lens surface under specified conditions. Qualification of abrasion resistance is based on measurement of lens surface haze due to scratches, Results may vary slightly depending on the surface substrate.

The Bayer test as defined by the AR Council is a critical procedure for determining the abrasion resistance of AR lenses.

Stays Clean Longer

A conductive; anti-static layer actually repels dust and particles from building on the lens surface. As one of the intregal base layers of the AR stack, it is applied within the AR chamber to reduce any possibility of contaminanants, thus enhancing the stability and durability of the entire process.

Easier to Clean Once Dirty

The final oleophobic topcoat layer of this revolutionary AR process seals the surface to help protect against chemical corrosion from skin oils and other elements.
