Opti-Matrix was originally established in 1987 by local owner/operators John Beach and Carolyn Decker. Carolyn along with Greg Naes and Jeremy are working together to keep Opti-Matrix in the cutting edge of lens technology. These professionals include ABO certified opticians and qualified speakers. The Lab is affiliated with several professional organizations such as The Optical Laboratories Association and Optical Services International, a group of independent optical wholesale laboratories working together to bring superior products and services to the independent Doctor and Optician. Opti-Matrix's use of state of the art equipment has given the lab the ability to offer superior products and services, including an in houseAnti-reflective coating system. Rodenstock has recognized Opti-Matrix by awarding the prestigious Circle of Excellence Award including Rodenstock's Lab of the year. Shamir Lab has also awarded Opti-Matrix with the Lab of the Year award for 2006. Opti-Matrix is an independent laboratory completely focused on the independent practioner, supporting the independent one patient at a time.
